NQT stands for Nordisk Quilt Träff, which in English would be Nordic Quilt Convention. The national quilting guilds of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland take turns to arrange a four-day quilt convention every third year. The convention is always held over the Ascension day bank holiday.
The next NQT Convention is held in Aalborg, Denmark, in the year 2012.
Each Nordic country will have their own exhibition, and lectures, courses and mini-workshops will be held within the framework of the convention. A large number of quilters from the Nordic countries will fill the city centre during these four days and we hope quilters from other countries will join them too.
